Visa Bulletin For May 2025
May 13, 2025

The U.S. Department of State has released the May 2025 Visa Bulletin, with key updates for EB-5 applicants:
EB-5 Unreserved Category:
India has retrogressed by six months to May 1, 2019, due to high demand and global visa usage.
China remains unchanged at January 22, 2014.
All other countries remain current.
EB-5 Reserved Categories (Rural, High Unemployment, Infrastructure):
Remain current for all countries, including India and China.
These categories continue to provide a faster path to U.S. permanent residency.
Given the unpredictable nature of visa movements, Indian applicants are strongly encouraged to secure their place early. Delaying action could lead to longer wait times or missed opportunities. Consulting an experienced immigration attorney can help clarify the best path forward.
